First Self-made Taugeh ( Bean sprouts )

My maiden attempt to make my own ' taugeh ' came out as a success. Though the whole process was short , it brought me joy in doing it.

As I am in my golden years, I try not to have my brain left idle . " An idle mind is the Devil's workshop . And the Devil's other name is Alzheimer . "

Never think you are too old to learn. This is what I always have in mind.

Be happy . Everyday is a new day . To all those seniors , be alive while you are still alive.

A ' Loving ' Couple

A very high-ranking professional has revealed her explosive family secret . She has just filed a law suit against her husband , pending for a divorce.

The news was indeed a shock to her family and friends . ' They were the most loving couple with a happy family. A perfect match! ' They all remarked.

However, according to her, that was not so. She found her life not as rosy as she had dreamed. Merely after 2 years of marriage, her loving husband had become a total stranger and worse still a monster . Since then, physical abuse was not uncommon. Any unpleasant things in the family . she was the one to be blamed e.g her children falling sick, her husband 's bad encounter at his office. Worst of all, she was forced to drink his urine . So disgusting if that was true !

She said she had put up with her tyrant husband just for the sake of her young children . She related that people saw smile on her face but actually she was alone. Why did she keep everything to herself for so long ? didn't get connected with others ?? could seek expert's advice ?? perhaps she could save her marriage ?? No better ways to solve her problems than to bear the sufferings ???

There are many ?????????????????????

The Point Is :

last week , a team of 15 energetic and deeply-committed Christian undergraduates were taking part in God's mission in my friend's village. A 5-day Happy Holiday Camp was held there.

Undoubtedly , that activity had brought great fun to those rural kids . Many of them had not even heard of Christ before. It was indeed a worthwhile and meaningful activity.Thumbs up for these youngsters' mission for Christ.!

However, according to my friend , she was disappointed as far as the attitudes of those youngsters were concerned. They had totally different personalities when they were in the midst of the children's parents or relatives . They appeared to be rather distant, unfriendly and unapproachable . Given the opportunity to mingle around in their midst, they showed their impatience to take part in conversation , be it a short one .Some couldn't even bother to greet them . In short, there was a gap between them.

These youngsters claimed to be Christians and to have faith . However, those villagers could not see any evidence at all in their behaviour. There is contradiction in the way they actually behaved and the way they believed . They fell short of the Glory of God.

As Christians, we have to follow the LOVE COMMAND of our Lord. (1 john 3:23 ... his command : to believe in Jesus Christ and to love one another ) We have to love one another regardless of age, race , religions.... Very sad to say that these youngsters have overlooked this important teaching of Jesus . They have stumbled in this point. Hence, have become the stumbling blocks to the spread of Gospel to those village adults, instead.

My point is : Mission is at our doorstep . Our faith and action should be working
together.
At any time, any place, we should be practising the same standard.
Then those
non-believers will not say that we are practising a make-n0-
difference faith
